HELLA’s Webcat, the comprehensive online catalogue from HELLA Ireland, has added a “Repair Time Feature” to its wide range of functions. This allows technicians to accurately quote the price of a job as it gives the time required to change the part. HELLA says the new feature can take the guess-work out of pricing jobs and make independent garages more profitable and efficient.
Repair Times are given for most maintenance jobs, such as servicing, and also for specific repairs such as timing belt removal and installation, clutch removal and replacement, shock absorbers replacement, etc… All repair times quoted are from vehicle manufacturer official recommendations.
The feature also gives the user the opportunity to personalise the calculations by inputting their own time factor and labour rates to reflect the garage preferences. A save function means the user can keep a copy of the quotation using the vehicle registration. This allows customer quotes to be easily recalled from the Webcat history.
Used in conjunction with HELLA’s HGS Data, the Webcat Repair Time function can also be used to produce a complete detailed breakdown of the work involved in a job and get information on any special equipment that may be required.
