GS Yuasa Battery Sales has announced two key new managerial appointments to aid with its ongoing business development. James Hylton has been promoted to the position of Managing Director, while Jonathan Pritchard has been appointed as General Manager - Sales and Marketing. 


James has been with the company for 12 years and has 22 years industry experience, most recently as Commercial Director. Commenting on James’ appointment, Andrew Taylor, Managing Director and CEO of Yuasa Battery Europe Ltd said, “I am personally delighted for James and his promotion is just reward for the hard work, dedication and contribution he has made to the success of the business. I wish James every success in his new role and I am confident he will continue to develop and grow the business over the coming years.”

James Hylton said, “This is a very exciting time for GS Yuasa and the industry in general. Demand for batteries is increasing in the sectors in which we operate and at the same time battery technology is advancing at an astonishing rate. I’m really looking forward to taking the reins and continuing to drive the business forward.”

Jonathan brings with him over 15 years of management experience and strong knowledge of the automotive aftermarket. He joins GS Yuasa having held sales and management positions at Unipart Autoparts and Sogefi. He commented, “I am delighted to be joining GS Yuasa and I view this as a positive move given the future in batteries. The company has a strong reputation as the world’s leading battery manufacturer. The quality and reliability of its products and service is well known throughout the industry. I am looking forward to working with an established team and helping to drive sales growth in the UK and Ireland, as well as developing business in the Nordics, Baltics and the CIS region.”
