Groupauto UK and Ireland Ltd., has chosen to install Autopart WMS at its new distribution centre, which opens in June 2011.

The new warehouse management system (WMS) will help Groupauto optimise the flow of goods through its distribution centre, managing all activities from goods receiving and putaway to picking, packing and shipment.

GroupautoUK and Ireland, is a fully integrated trading group with over 350 distributor members and 580 outlets. Part of the European-wide Groupauto International, the group provides a range of services to parts manufacturers, distributors and garages. These include dedicated purchasing and marketing programmes and a branded garage scheme.

Autopart WMS is a specialised edition of MAM Software's proven retail/wholesale application. It will provide Groupauto with comprehensive inventory management functionality including wireless data capture, location mapping, load planning and carrier integration.

Through a series of staged developments, Autopart WMS will provide GROUPAUTO with functionality of any proprietary warehouse management system without the complexity and uncertainty of integrating a third-party solution into its existing Autopart infrastructure.

For further information on MAM Software, contact their Irish distributor rnh on 01-626-0155 or www.rnh.ie.
