Greenhall Motors has been awarded the Opel Ireland Dealer of the Year for the third year running. This is the first time that any dealership in Opel's entire European dealer network has achieved such an accomplishment.

In addition, Greenhall Motors has been awarded the European Chairman's Circle Club. Out of a total of 4,750 Opel dealers across Europe, only 60 are chosen for the Chairmans Circle Award which is General Motors initiative awarded to dealers for their excellence in customer service and sales performance in their chosen country.

This year also marks the 50th anniversary of Greenhall Motors as an Opel dealer. In1962 Tim and Joan O'Shea founded Greenhall Motors marking the first Opel dealer in the Munster region and Opel's first official distributor in Ireland. The O'Shea family were instrumental in Opel gaining a foothold in the Irish market five decades ago. Today the business employs 17 staff and is headed up by sons Tadhg and Barry from its showroom and service centre on the Charleville Road, Buttevant in Cork.

"This year is a very significant year for us, not only winning this prestigious accolade but also marking our golden anniversary as an Opel
dealer. This award is a true testament to the dedication and passion we show our customers on an on-going basis and we?re very proud to be recognised for this." said Barry O'Shea, Dealer Principal, Greenhall Motors.

"W'd like to thank all of our customers, both past and present for their loyalty and support for their business over the past 50 years, without their support we would not be here today," added O'Shea.

Speaking at the celebration event Dave Sheeran, Managing Director, Opel Ireland said: "Greenhall Motors was awarded Opel Dealer of the Year because they constantly provide excellent service to their customers and go over and above. We are grateful to Greenhall Motors for their continued support throughout the years and we're looking forward to the next 50 years of business with them."

Greenhall Motors supports Opel Ireland grassroots initiative, 'Kit for Clubs' that allows GAA clubs across the country to collect both playing kit and training equipment and without this support some of these clubs would not have been able to get specialised local kit due to limited resources.
