Motorsport Ireland and Formula Female welcomed 30 schoolgirls from Templecarrig School Greystones to the #GoGirls Karting & STEM initiative at Kylemore Karting.

These students set some of the fastest laps we have seen around Kylemore, and once again, the Pitstop Challenge record time was broken from 29.2s to a super impressive time of 25.5s, shaving 4 seconds off the previous record.

The winning group couldn’t believe how well they had done and were eager to find out about further opportunities to work on the karts for teams in the future.

Students were highly engaged with many enquiring about the different career opportunities available in motorsport, with many coming away hungry to learn more and get  involved.

This was another highly successful day for Motorsport Ireland and Formula Female introducing young girls to Motorsport, giving them the opportunity to get involved and raised awareness for our sport and the career opportunities available.
