Alliance Automotive Logistics has added Gates Timing Chain Kits to its range. The introduction of the new range means that Gates is now supplying the aftermarket with a complete range of automotive timing drive kit solutions for the first time.

The timing chain kit range is designed for the most critical applications and as a response to the investment in modern hybrid vehicles fitted with chain drives built by a wide number of vehicle manufacturers.

The new range focuses on those vehicles for which there is already an established and future demand for replacement parts. The brand’s message is that if one component of the timing system is worn, while another part has been completely renewed, as older parts work harder, they begin to fail more quickly. The initial range of Timing Chain Kits will feature around 54 SKUs and will be available with a full online catalogue and technical support.

The initial range of Gates Timing Chain Kits will become available for models built by manufacturers that include BMW/Mini, Citroen/Peugeot, DS/Fiat, Opel/Vauxhall, Renault/Nissan, Mazda, Mercedes and VW/Audi/SEAT.

Gates Timing Chain Kits will focus on vehicles where parts failures are already beginning to occur. Such models will include:
  • Audi A3 Sportback (1.4, 2007 to 2013)
  • BMW Mini Cooper S (2.0 and 3.0 until 2014)
  • Fiat Punto EVO (1.3, 2009 to 2012)
  • Peugeot 5008 (1.6, 2009 to 2017)
  • Renault, Nissan Turbo Petrol (1.2, 2012 to 2019)
  • Seat Ibiza IV (1.2, 2009 onwards)
  • Vauxhall/Opel Corsa D (1.4, 2006 to 2014)
  • VW Golf VI (1.2, 2008 to 2012)
  • VW Touran TSI (1.4, 2006 to 2010)
The new kits will be available from Alliance Automotive outlets and stockists nationwide.
