So far this year the First Line Group has introduced 126 new handbrake cable references into its already comprehensive range of First Line branded cables. With the latest new additions the range now extends to more than 2,300 part numbers.
A recent range extension is the introduction of clutch and brake cables for left hand drive vehicles. This development is aimed at offering products to service a small, but growing niche market in the UK and Ireland, as well as to meet customer demand in FLG’s growing export markets. The range comprises more than 230 references and covers all the popular applications.
The FLG product team has focused particular attention on handbrake cables for Asian applications in recent months. First Line has used its extensive experience of sourcing high quality products from around the world, to put together a leading range of automotive cables for these vehicles. Among the more popular applications are Mitsubishi Shogun 2006 onwards, Hyundai i30 2007 onwards, Kia Rio 2005-2011 and Nissan Juke 2010 onwards.
The complexity of some vehicles means it can be difficult to clearly and confidently identify products for specific vehicles. This is particularly true of LCV’s and the Ford Transit is a good example. Nearly 40 brake cable references are now needed to cover all the options available on this vehicle from 2000 to 2013. In response to the many requests from its customers, FLG has produced a bulletin which gives clear and concise vehicle and product information to prevent the incorrect part being supplied. This bulletin has been so well received that the exercise has been repeated for Transit Connect and Focus models.
