febi bilstein has highlighted another component from its huge range that many garages may assume to be a dealer only part, the electronically controlled engine mount (Part No. 43703)  for the Audi A5 and Audi Q5.

Engine vibrations, and the noises they produce, differ depending on driving conditions and whether the vehicle is stationary or moving. Electronically controlled engine mountings offer both hard and soft suspension, providing better driving comfort than conventional mountings by damping vibrations in different conditions.

febi’s electronically controlled hydro mount offers a quiet neutral position and engaged driving conditions, as the switching function allows the vehicle to move between soft suspension and firm suspension, allowing a more comfortable ride in the soft position and limiting the movement of the engine in the firm setting.

The benefits of febi’s electronically controlled engine mount include; reduced vibrations and increased driving comfort. The mount is also Customisable in terms of rigidity, damping position, and neutral position behaviour.

febi supplies a range of over 800 different engine mountings, with hydro bearings, non-hydraulic rubber metal bushes and electronically controlled. The company says all the mounts are in OE matching quality.

You can see the full range of febi replacement engine mounts on the febi Live! online catalogue at www.febilive.com.
