Sikkens has awarded two VIP (Very Important Painter) Formula 1 grandstand tickets to the winner of an online promotion staged to celebrate the launch of Autoclear 2.0.

Painters were invited to share their experiences of this product, the latest in clearcoat technology, via the website sikkensvr.com. Tobias Kolbe from Autohaus Stollberg in Germany received the most votes from painters across the region for his comment: “The new 2.0, in a nutshell: Thanks Sikkens! Due to the very short drying time and the ease of use, there is an increase in productivity.”

In addition to Tobias’s prize, the first 200 competition entrants will also receive a unique T-shirt featuring their views on Autoclear 2.0, next to a picture of McLaren’s 2014 F1 car.

Remco Maassen van den Brink, Marketing Director SMU Vehicle Refinishes, commented, “Like the F1 car, Autoclear 2.0 is fast and efficient, with the flexibility to perform well in a range of conditions. The competition was the perfect opportunity to hear how painters are responding to this product’s innovative properties and to celebrate the improved performance Autoclear 2.0 delivers.” He added, “Since its launch it seems that everyone has been keen to try out Autoclear 2.0 and has impressed for a variety of reasons. In addition to its speed, efficiency and flexibility, sprayers have highlighted its ease of use, its environmental friendliness and, of course, its excellent finish.”

Sikkens say that Autoclear 2.0 is ideal for all jobs, from minor repairs to total resprays and offers a competitive advantage to every user. One of the runners-up, Mark Nootenboom from bodyshop ABS Van’t Hoff in the Netherlands, summed this up perfectly in his quote: “With Autoclear 2.0 we win the race.”
