Continental has introduced 12 new overrunning alternator decouplers, which can help to reduce vehicle vibrations.

These OE quality parts ensure effective decoupling of the multi V-belt from the alternator using a spring, damper system, allowing it to suppress any irritating resonance vibrations. This means it is ’s quieter inside the vehicle, fuel consumption drops and belt life is extended.

Continental is now bringing out 12 new overrunning alternator decouplers that can be fitted in vehicles from numerous manufacturers and are suitable for almost 13 million vehicles throughout Europe.

The overrunning alternator decouplers are a perfect match for the overrunning alternator pulleys from Continental that transmit torque in one direction only with the help of their built-in overrunning clutch. In this way, the overrunning pulleys reduce the strain on the belt drive when braking and changing gear and bring about a further reduction in fuel consumption.

The new overrunning alternator decouplers are available from Continental stockists.
