Connect Workshop Consumables introduces easy-to-fit steering rack boot kit

Connect Workshop Consumables is now offering a new steering rack boot kit that can save significant time and money.

Normally with a steering rack boot (or gaiter) replacement, the technician will pop the track-rod end then unscrew it to remove the old rack boot. This has an impact on the front wheel tracking. Even counting the threads to get the track rod back in approximately the same position will not be 100% correct accurate. Now there is a simple solution with this easy to fit steering rack boot kit from Connect Workshop Consumables (part number 37663).

The technician simply pops the track rod end, then using the specially-designed fitting cone, stretches the new boot over the track-rod end and across to the steering rack housing. It is a quick and easy and does not disturb the track-rod positioning, and therefore the wheel tracking.
