Ingenious Chinese inventors can generally develop a product to solve any problem. So, the increasing number of drivers in China being caught by speed cameras has lead to some novel number plate development. Motorists can now buy a device that allows the number plate lettering to be switched around or obscured so that it cannot be seen on camera. Chinese traffic police say that as many as 50% of motorists are getting away with speeding, because of these remote control deception accessories.
