Kia Ireland has announced the appointment of Cathal Kealey as Head of Marketing and PR. He replaces Aidan Doyle who retires in early October.

Cathal joins Kia with a wealth of automotive experience in Product and Marketing Communications gained from management roles in VW, Skoda and most latterly as Head of Marketing with Citroen Ireland.

Commenting on his appointment Cathal Kealey said “I’m delighted to be joining such an innovative brand at an exciting time for the automotive industry. KIA have excelled in the area of electrification in recent years and with such a strong new product offensive in the pipeline, I have no doubt that they will continue to strengthen their place as one of the top automotive brands in Ireland over the coming years. I hope that I can assist the brand on this journey and very much look forward to the challenge ahead.”

“Cathal joins Kia Ireland at a time of strong growth for the brand. Kia is now the number four brand in Ireland in 2022 and we are now firmly established as a top five manufacturer in the country and also as one of the leading brands helping Ireland achieve its EV targets. We are confident that Cathal will help Kia go from strength to strength“, added Kia Ireland MD Ronan Flood.

A graduate of University of Limerick and native of Offlay, Cathal Kealey now lives in Kildare with his wife and two daughters. A previous captain of the Kinnitty Senior Hurling Team, Cathal has now retired from his playing duties but is still a keen GAA enthusiast and also enjoys rugby, soccer, cycling and running.
