It has been announced that Cartell.ie has formally joined CarsIreland.ie which is part of Independent News and Media (INM) and the Mediahuis Group. The move is designed to focus on an accelerated transition to digital solutions and offer an enhanced platform to both the motor industry and car buyers across Ireland.

Nicola Aherne, Managing Director of Cartell commented, “Fourteen years ago, we launched Cartell as the first real data solution specifically tailored to the Irish automotive sector. From the outset, our focus was on quality and innovation. I believe the combination of Cartell and CarsIreland.ie supported by INM and its parent Mediahuis Group will provide us with the strength and scale to grow. We are excited by the opportunity to develop even more innovative solutions and to substantially boost our commercial strength far into the future.”

Marc Vangeel, CEO of INM said, “The acquisition of Cartell is part and parcel of our strategy to stretch our lead in markets where we already have strong foundations. This is an important investment for our business as the combination of two motoring platforms presents a unique opportunity to grow and scale in Ireland and beyond. Digital transformation is front and centre for business and we are delighted to be at the forefront for the motoring industry in Ireland.”

Cartell will become an integral part of the CarsIreland.ie, but will also continue to work and engage with customers through existing channels, with no short term changes to terms or services. Together, the enlarged business will in time grow and offer an even more comprehensive portfolio of digital solutions and services.

Cartell says staff will continue to provide support and implementation arrangements for Cartell products in Ireland and Europe, but have the additional backing of CarsIreland.ie and INM’s wider infrastructure. This will include access to an enhanced motoring data set created by the unique combination of the two companies. The move will also bring Cartell clients access to the Carsireland.ie product portfolio and a future set of new products.
