Bodyshop equipment specialist Car-O-Liner has underlined its commitment to developing young talent for the accident repair industry with its continued sponsorship of World Skill programme. 

At a Global level Car-O-Liner recently sponsored the World Skills in Abu Dhabi in October, where Andrew Gault, a repair technician from Glen Allen Accident Repair Centre, Cookstown in Northern Ireland achieved a Bronze Medal.

Andrew is a previous Gold Medal winner at the World Skills UK National Finals and Car-O-Liner was again a sponsor of this year’s event which took place at the NEC in Birmingham from November 16th to 18th. This provides a showcase for the very best young talent across a wide range of industries and in the body repair sector in particular the competition aims to help these highly motivated, keen young individuals to develop their skills and knowledge and bring along fresh ideas and innovation to the Industry. This will hopefully help them to go on to be future Bodyshop Managers and Owners.

During the event Car-O-liner hosted a special “Have a Go” area representing the auto body repair industry. This offered both demonstrations and the opportunity to get hands on with some of the latest equipment. The interactive zone is designed to be a fun activity but also to attract young talent and allow staff to spot youngsters with potential and encourage them to consider the body repair industry as a career.
