Much of the talk at the busy Brembo Braking stand at Mechanex Sandown concerned the recently launched range of Brembo XTRA brake pads. Stuart Tagg and Alfredo Albarella, Aftermarket Area Managers for Brembo, were on hand to discuss the next generation pads which have been especially developed by the Italian manufacturer to maximise the advantages of Brembo's aftermarket range of drilled and slotted brake discs.

Brembo says its XTRA pads offer the enthusiast driver the ideal solution for enjoying a sporty drive without compromising on comfort and durability during road use. Following extensive research and development, Brembo has identified the ideal friction material to meet the various attributes required by such drivers. This BRM X L01 material is made from more than 30 different components to produce pads that perfectly complement XTRA and MAX sports discs. It means the pads can offer improved performance and braking stability, as well as reduced disc wear. They also reduce fading and offer improved pedal feel.

Stuart Tagg commented, "We have had a great reaction to the launch of Brembo XTRA brake pads. When used in partnership with Brembo XTRA and MAX sports discs they offer a unique high performance braking solution that is sure to be much sought after by motoring enthusiasts.”
