Bodyshops benefiting from Škoda Write Off Avoidance Programme

With used car values reaching record highs the last news a motorist wants to hear is that their vehicle is a write off after an accident. Not only is this very inconvenient but the payout from the insurer is often well short of what would be required to buy an equivalent car.

To avoid this issue Škoda offers a Write Off Avoidance Programme which aims to keep borderline write-offs on the road by providing additional support. As well as benefiting Škoda drivers, the programme has also provided a boost for accident repairers by offering more repair work.

Where a Škoda vehicle is in danger of being written off, the repairer can contact their Skoda dealer, or Skoda directly by email (bodyshop@vwgi.ie) with a repair estimate. They will then receive a prompt response, with the additional support that can be made available to facilitate the repair. In this way the bodyshop can get a major boost to labour hours by completing a repair that otherwise would not have happened.

Škoda drivers also benefit by having the peace of mind of knowing that they have a quality repair using genuine Škoda parts.

As well as accident damage, the programme also covers parts such as engines and gearboxes, which means, for example, flood damaged cars can also often also be saved.

The programme is quick and easy to administer and continues to gain in popularity with bodyshops all over Ireland.
