NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd has launched a new innovative blogzine.
ngktorque.com is an inclusive community-based site that will focus on NGK and all things motor-powered and will run alongside its industry-leading www.ngkntk.co.uk website. The company wants to involve not only its customers, but the whole of the motoring community to share their stories with like-minded enthusiasts.
Gerard Irving, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd, said: "As a company we are constantly looking at new ways of engaging with our customers and the general public at large and feel that this social media gives us the ideal platform to do so.
"ngktorque.com will focus on all things to do with NGK and its associated activities. There will be a wide range of stories from both inside and outside of the industry on the site, from news about exotic and unusual vehicles that are fitted with our products, to features on strange applications, project cars and personalities.
"There will be articles on both the two and four-wheel sectors, stories from the garage workshop and from the world of motorsport. If it is exciting, unusual or of general interest you will find it on ngktorque.com.”
The site kicks off with a number of fascinating articles including news of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club’s 50th anniversary; a look at the weird and wonderful Alto Performance Racing Rage motorbike; street car enthusiast Michael Yarde’s Mk6 ST Ford Fiesta project car; and Porsche test driver Patrick Long will take you for a spin in the awesome new NGK-ignited Porsche 918 Spyder.
And if that hasn’t whetted your appetite enough, there’s also the opportunity to win a pair of tickets for the upcoming British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Gerard Irving added: "We want to provide an environment that informs, entertains and engages. ngktorque isn’t about us; it’s about you, the enthusiasts, the racers, the garage owners. Your passions, your pride and joys and your successes and failures. They’re all important. So please don’t keep them to yourself, let us know and share your stories with the ngktorque.com community.”
