Technical information supplier Autodata says that there has been a big increase in demand for vehicle air conditioning servicing over the summer months, much bigger than in previous years.

The UK data shows a 76% rise in demand for air conditioning services since May with demand spikes each time there is anything approaching a hot spell.

Autodata says that this market is one of great potential for the motor trade and is encouraging bodyshops especially to become proactive in the field to develop alternative income streams.

Autodata offers an air conditioning service module which provides the correct air conditioning refrigerant quantity for each vehicle and illustrates how and where to find the low and high AC service connectors to connect a gas test gauge.
