Renault Ireland recently announced the acquisition of the prominent Belgard site in Tallaght for the development of a state-of-the-art motor showroom, workshop and parts facilities.

The proposed development of this gateway site will be designed in line with Renault's ethos and principals, encompassing comfort, style and convenience, paying particular attention to the sales of its new range of ZE electric vehicles, commercial vehicles and very soon, the new to launch Dacia range.

Renault Retail Group opened the existing showrooms in late December with the new development commencing in April and already there has a been a steady flow of traffic through the showroom.

Declan O'Grady is the Dealer Principal at Renault Belgard: "We are very excited about the development of this state of at art facility, which will see over two levels of car and commercial vehicles displayed and fully accessible to our customers.

The proposed new facility includes for the provision of a new state-of-the-art service workshop with up to 10 servicing bays including the servicing of large commercial vehicles. This facility is provided in line with Renault's commitment to maintaining a high standard of after sales service across all vehicle ranges.

We also expect to create up to 45 jobs which is very good news for the area."

This development will be the Renault Flagship Dealership in Ireland when development is completed by the end of 2012.
