AutoMester Ireland held a highly successful members conference in the Red Cow Hotel, Dublin, prior to the recent SIMI Trade Expo. The event was attended by representatives from the growing network of member garages around Ireland and feedback from them was extremely positive.

AutoMester Concept Manager Sandra Schade said after the conference, "We were delighted with the feedback we got from the AutoMester members. They were all very enthusiastic about the programme and the impact it has already had on their businesses and we had some very constructive ideas about AutoMester development.”
Sandra points out that the AutoMester concept is very much member driven and that the successful development of the programme to-date, has been partly due to harnessing the energy and ideas of a group of likeminded progressive independent garages.
Eugene O’Shea from Autowise in Naas, was one of the first garages to join the AutoMester programme and after the conference he was full of praise for what it has achieved. He commented, "We signed up to AutoMester 18 months ago and it has made a massive difference to the way we do business. The tools, support and information has made our operation more efficient and professional and also helped to boost both sales and profit margins.”  He added, "One of the great things about AutoMester is also the chance to meet other members and exchange views and ideas.”

After the conference was concluded, many of the members then moved over to the AutoMester stand at the SIMI Trade Expo. Here they were able to meet a steady flow of prospective new members and explain the benefits of the programme from a garage perspective. Sandra commented, "Letting prospective members talk to existing members is one of the best ways to promote the genuine benefits of AutoMester and we found this worked very well at the trade show.” Eugene added, "When I was talking to garage owners thinking of joining AutoMester, I was stressing the point that now is the time to act. If you are serious about signing up, there really is nothing to gain by delaying and so many benefits to be gained. It is also important to act now, as there are only a limited number of openings for members in any geographical area.”
