The REPXPERT team has been very active with its LuK 2CT double clutch technology and repair training in recent weeks, both on the road in garages and at the REPEXPERT training centre in Birmingham.

One of the training sessions performed by REPXPERT Alistair Mason recently was with a team of six technicians at Colemans MOT and Tyre Centre in Derbyshire, to advise on LuK 2CT double clutch technology and repair. Alistair delivered a thorough overview of LuK double clutch technology, including operation, installation, diagnosis, repair and tooling. The team was then presented with a series of practical tasks before facing a final IMI accreditation assessment.

Colemans owner Matt Edwards said, “Modern cars are becoming increasingly difficult to both diagnose and repair, so if my team doesn’t possess the skills and knowledge to service the vehicles that come through our doors, then we are handing over business to our competitors that do.” He added, “Alistair was very knowledgeable, hands-on and had the ability to judge the pace and content required for the group. As a result, the information he was presenting was very easy to digest 100% the right person.”

Meanwhile, another group of REPXPERT members recently gained IMI accreditation after taking part in a LuK 2CT double clutch course and assessment day at the Schaeffler Industrial HQ and training centre in Birmingham. One of those attending was A&A Garage Owner, David Owen. He said, “The course was excellent and definitely worth doing. With more vehicles coming through our doors with double clutches, it is crucial that myself and my team understand the technology and learn how to repair them.”

The benefits of the training mean that not only are the professional mechanics involved in the training rewarded with IMI accreditation and certification, but they can also add double clutch repairs to their workshop menu, thus strengthening their customer offering.

REPXPERT Alistair Mason commented, “It was fantastic; it was great to see all the technicians getting involved and eager to strengthen their skillset. I would like to urge more technicians to get in touch if they want a member of the REPXPERT team to pay their workshop a visit, or just to learn more about Schaeffler products and the training courses we offer.”

REPXPERT members get instant access to new training dates, technical guides and Schaeffler product information, as well as being able to redeem points for purchasing Schaeffler products at the bonus shop. Anybody not signed up yet can do so free-of-charge at www.repxpert.co.uk
