As UFI filters continues to gain ground in the Irish aftermarket, the Italian filtration brand is also enjoying continued success in many fields of motorsport, including F1 where it supplies products to 9 out of 10 F1 teams.

The UFI Filters High Tech Division team carries out continuous research into the development of the most advanced filtration technologies and specialises in the production of filtration solutions for “extreme” performances, such as those required for Formula 1 and other motorsports. This filtration pedigree is reflected in the fact that the vast majority of F1 teams use UFI technology, including current champions Mercedes.

UFI technicians work closely with development partners such as Mercedes and Ferrari to produce optimal filtration technologies, working with the design engineers of the various manufacturers. The partnership with the racing world began in the 70s, with the first success in 1976 with the F1 constructor’s world championship, thanks to the team work of UFI and Ferrari.

This was the first in a series of positive results that continue today with the supply of about 10,000 individual parts per year, including hydraulic filters, oil filters, fuel filters, last chance filters and air filters, for the leading teams. UFI also has a major presence in many other competitive fields, including; Formula2, MotoGp, Moto2, Moto3, Superbike, GT2, GT3, GTE and LMP Championships.  The know-how of the UFI High Tech Division is a key factor that contributes to the success of UFI, both as an OE supplier to the world’s leading vehicle makers and as an expanding aftermarket brand.
