Lubricant specialist Motul has announced the appointment of Hasanaat Tahier as Motul Technical Specialist for Ireland and the UK.

This is the latest move in Motul’s strengthening of its dedicated UK and Ireland business, as the global lubricant force expands its operations in key development markets. “Has”, as he is generally known, will head up Motul’s technical function and all related aspects.

Has brings with him experience of a number of different aspects of the automotive mix. Graduating from the University of Bradford, with First-Class Honours in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering he worked as a Design Engineer, before moving into the automotive sector as a Production Engineer with the JTEKT Group’s Koyo Bearings brand, where his assignments included projects for Jaguar, BMW and Electric Motor Specialists, YASA .

He then moved to Total Energies as a Product Engineer, working on various aspects of the business, including their in-house systems, digital tools and automotive troubleshooting.

Callum Goodland, Motul Country Manager said, “We are extremely pleased to welcome Has on board. He adds another key string to our bow and has joined Motul at a very exciting time, as we develop our UK and Irish business. Has’s appointment is a measure of how fast things are moving at Motul at the moment and we look forward very much to him being part of our expanding team.”
