The AA, has partnered with Delphi Academy to enhance the skills of its patrol network through a comprehensive training programme.

The collaboration combines Delphi Academy’s industry-leading expertise in automotive training with The AA’s commitment to maintaining exceptional service standards. The bespoke training encompasses a range of in-person sessions at Delphi’s state-of-the-art training Academy in Warwick, alongside access to its e-learning platform.

“Our patrols are the backbone of our service, and investing in their training ensures we’re ready to meet the evolving needs of drivers across the UK,” said Nick Foxall, Learning Manager for Roadside at The AA. “Delphi’s blend of practical and online learning offers the flexibility and depth we need to stay ahead in a fast-changing industry.”

The programme features courses covering the very latest automotive advancements, including braking, vehicle electrical diagnosis, suspension systems and common rail diesel diagnosis. The training takes place at Delphi’s advanced IMI-approved training facility, recognised as one of the largest vehicle technician training centres in the UK.

“We’re incredibly proud to be supporting The AA,” said Luke Garratt, UK Technical Services Manager at Delphi. “This programme will give AA patrols the cutting-edge skills they need to tackle the challenges of modern automotive technology, all while continuing to deliver the top-quality service drivers expect from them.”

Complementing the hands-on sessions, AA patrols will gain access to the Delphi Academy e-learning platform, which offers over 300 interactive modules. This includes technical articles, videos, and simulations to reinforce learning and provide ongoing development opportunities.

“The training has already received fantastic feedback,” added Darren Naughton, Training Delivery and Support Specialist at The AA. “It’s not just about keeping up with the industry, it’s about leading it. Working with Delphi gives us confidence that our patrols are fully prepared for the future of motoring.”
