Continental now offers two timing belt kits specially designed for the VW Golf 8, one with water pump and the other without. The two PRO kits also contain the matching oil pump belt and all the small parts needed to ensure straightforward installation at the workshop.

The Golf 8 ranks among the best-selling cars in the compact class, with over one million models already to be found on Europe’s roads. Consequently, the new PRO kits are expected to be in high demand. The kits are: 

CT1229K2 PRO timing belt kit: without water pump
CT1229WP2 PRO timing belt kit: with water pump

Some engines require a belt for driving the oil pump in addition to the timing belt. Continental is therefore expanding its range of PRO kits, which contain both belts as well as all the small parts needed for fitting them such as pulleys, bolts and nuts.

PRO kits containing the letters ‘WP’ in the product name additionally include the OE-quality electrically adjustable WP6140 water pump manufactured in Germany, along with the requisite seals. This allows all parts to be ordered in one go, even for more complex jobs, thereby facilitating more efficient workshop operations.
