Arrival points to the future of ride-hailing vehicles

Arrival, a UK-based electric vehicle start-up company, has been showing a new minivan style design which has been optimised with the help of Uber drivers to provide the ultimate ride-hailing taxi.

Tom Elvidge, head of vehicle platforms at Arrival says the new design is affordable, durable and has exceptional visibility and comfort. The car features a panoramic sunroof and exceptional rear legroom to give a feeling of internal space. The driver sits higher than a normal car to give a better  view while driving. Uber drivers provided design input to make the vehicle better for both drivers and passengers.

Uber has made a commitment to making all London Journeys electric by 2025 and also has plans to go electric in other major cities. Arrival could play a key role in this with its model due to go on sale in 2023. Arrival is also building 10,000 electric vans for United Parcel Service with production initially taking place in Rock Hill, South Carolina in the U.S. and Bicester, in England next year.
