Spray gun specialist DeVilbiss and leading Irish aftermarket distributor Somora have joined forces to offer bodyshops and painters a new and convenient way to access DeVilbiss equipment, PPE, accessories and spares through local motor factor outlets.

DeVilbiss as a company can trace its history back to 1888 and has been an innovator in spray equipment since 1907. Since then the company has been at the forefront of spray gun development as paint technology has developed. Today DeVilbiss guns offer excellent atomization of high-solid materials producing glass-like finishes and a perfect colour match. Reflecting the changing needs of bodyshops, the latest DeVilbiss products also provide sustainable and innovative solutions that save materials, time and money.

Somora will be stocking a complete range of DeVilbiss equipment and spares at its Dublin distribution centre for immediate supply to motor factors across Ireland. This will allow bodyshops faster access to new spray guns, personal protection equipment, air control filtration equipment, regulators, hoses and gauges, as well gun cleaning equipment and spares and accessories. This will include spares for older guns which some painters may still have in use.

Somora Sales Manger, Stephen Lawless commented, “DeVilbiss is a company with an excellent reputation in the bodyshop sector and an extensive customer base all over Ireland. We wanted to make it easier for existing and new customers to access DeVilbiss products, with improved local availability and faster delivery, something we can do through motor factors.”

Stephen recognises that access to DeVilbiss spare parts is vital. He comments, “Spray guns often require replacement parts and DeVilbiss can offer some major advantages in this area. Firstly, the range of parts means that it is far more economical to repair DeVilbiss guns as all types of individual parts are available and not just complete modules. Secondly, these spare are available quickly through a well established distribution network meaning guns can be up and running again more quickly.”

Off course DeVilbiss is also at the forefront when it comes to the supply of new equipment. This not only means guns, such as the latest and much acclaimed DV1, but also other innovations such as; UV and gun cleaning equipment and the Snap-n-flow disposable cup system.
