The wealthy elite of Russian often spend their cash on supercars and road safety standards in the former Soviet state mean crashes are not uncommon. But one particular € 100,000 smash in an Aston Martin has attracted special attention.

The car was being driven by a fifteen year old boy and amazingly he had bought it himself, for cash. Russian media says Konstantin P, a goalkeeper with Zenit FC had bought the car just three days before the accident and was driving without a licence. He was hit by a Volkswagen Tiguan at junction and claims the accident was not his fault.

He now faces some serious repercussion from both his club and the authorities.
