Complete Tech ‘n’ Tools package unlocks air-con potential

While independent garages often see the potential of air-conditioning service and repair on vehicles, they are sometimes put off by what can seem like a daunting task of sourcing the right equipment, tooling, consumables and training. Tech ‘n’ Tools is a company that recognised this challenge several years ago and as the market has developed it has created a complete package of products and services that gives a garage or bodyshop everything they need to make the most of lucrative a/c opportunities.

Dave Malloy of Tech ‘n’ Tools says, “We are seeing more and more motor trade businesses looking to keep air-con work in-house rather than farm out to other companies . We have a growing band of workshop customers who have taken advantage of our complete package and expert back-up. This has allowed them to grow their business and they are well place to make the most of the big role a/c servicing will play for them in the future, especially in regard to electric and hybrid vehicles.”

Tech ‘n’ Tools can offer a complete a/c service package, including equipment, tooling, replacement gases, and consumables, while workshops can also access a vast range of a/c components distribute by parent company Qualvcom, through motor factor outlets. They can also provide on site commissioning of the machine, marketing packs and F-Gas certification training, which is essential for work in this sector.

Dave says, “We work closely with UK company Cooling Edge, who are acknowledged experts in the air-con field. They supply OE to car manufacturers, as well as the aftermarket, so have the detailed and up-to-date knowledge and experience to offer the products the market needs and the right technical support.”

A prime example of this is the CTR automatic a/c service machines. Dave says that these are tailored to the needs of Irish and UK garages, offering exactly what they require in terms of ease of use, vacuum strength, tank capacity, accuracy, efficiency and database of information tuned to the vehicle parc.

The company also offers other a/c machines and equipment, from leading brands such as Denso, Bosch and Mahle, including models suitable for agri and truck applications.
