Ignition and sensor specialist NGK has helped one of its sponsored competitors, 12-year-old Hayden Statt to claim the Revo ACU British Motocross championship in the SW58 category in the season finale at Landrake Moto Parc in Somerset.

This year’s SW85 class produced some of the best racing in the youth class in years and went to the last race for Hayden and rival Robbie Daly who throughout the whole race were seconds away from each other. Right to the very end it came down to the last corner, Hayden was calm and collected and pulled through to be crowned Champion.

The youngster, who is from Stanley, County Durham, said, “It was a fantastic feeling to win the championship. I love racing and feel very proud.”

Hayden has followed in the footsteps of his father Craig who also competed in Motocross. He is also cheered on at the events by his Mum, Gemma, and sister Olivia and has received product support via local NGK Sales Representative Paul Wheatley.

He said, “We are delighted to support Hayden and are thrilled that he has managed to become British champion. I am sure he will win more titles in the future.”
