MechanExpert, the online information and training resource for automotive technicians, have announced it will be taking to the road in November, with a series of technical roadshows.

The aim of this totally new format is to bring first hand, expert technical knowledge from leading OE component manufacturers, direct to the trade on their own doorsteps.  The roadshows are being carried out as a means of helping to improve the technicians’ skills and working knowledge, giving them confidence to tackle every more complex repairs in the automotive industry.

The MechanExpert Technical Roadshow represents a significant departure from other trade shows.  The organisers say this will not be about providing a sales opportunity for a multitude of ad hoc suppliers, alternatively, it will only feature selected experts in specific fields, thus providing targeted and practical technical information and resources to independent garages.

The exhibitors are a carefully chosen selection of original equipment O.E. suppliers, who have an in depth knowledge and understanding of the latest developments in vehicle technology and their impact on the automotive aftermarket. Each company will send their very best technical experts to share their knowledge and expertise to technicians. This will be done through both practical demonstrations, as well as the opportunity for technicians to ask questions 1 to 1, that they want answers to.  In this unique format, they can learn from the very people who are involved in making the products they are fitting every day.

LUK, FAG, INA, Kilen, KYB, Comma, Gates, Bosch, Apec and Mann + Hummel are just some of the leading brands already signed up to attend.  More names will be added in the coming weeks.

These Technical Roadshows will be the first of their kind in Ireland and are designed to provide independent technicians and garage operators with access to practical technical information. This information will help independents keep pace with changing automotive technology and developing their business.  They are a must attend event for any progressive garage.

Full details on all technical experts who will be at the show, in the October AUTOBIZ.
