Laser Tools is now offering an Engine Timing Kit for VW Group 1.5 TSi Petrol engine models which can save garages considerable time. 

The new kit, Laser product number 8824, allows the user to align, set and check the camshaft timing of the Volkswagen Group EA 211, 4-cylinder TSI petrol engines  without the need to resort to computer-based alignment tools, offering a significant saving on OEM tooling. 

Utilises a battery powered digital inclinometer combined with accurately manufactured adaptors and alignment tooling the kit will  ensure the camshafts are set correctly. 

The relevant engine is use in many popular applications, including Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen models from 2017. It is suitable for the 1.5L TSi petrol engines - DACA, DACB, DADA, DFYA, DHFA, DPBA, DPCA & DPBE. Engine variants include: EA211, EVO 4-cylinder TSi ACT.

Camshaft pulley holding tools (7279 & 8421) must be used when loosening or tightening the camshaft pulleys. Laser also offers the option of kit number 8866 for pre 2017 engines. 

For even more coverage, flexibility and time saving, Laser also offers the 8866 Engine Timing Adaptor Kit. This works with the Laser 8824 Engine Timing Kit to align, set and check the camshaft timing of the earlier Volkswagen Group 3 and 4-cylinder TSI 1.2 petrol engines.

Applications include: Audi from 2017, Seat from 2015, Skoda from 2015 and Volkswagen from 2015, covering 1.0L, 1.2L, 1.4L, & 1.6L TSI petrol engines and engine variants: TSi ACT, EA211 3 & 4-cylinder (without ACT).
