Many drivers still only service to sell
Share:

Research by the UK Good Garage Scheme organisation has found that 15% of drivers only think about getting their car serviced when they are planning to sell the car and well over half of drivers won’t be getting any service checks before a long holiday journey.

The relaxed attitude to vehicle service also continues in other areas with around a third of drivers saying they choose a garage for work because it was closest rather than based on quality or service.

The survey also found that around of third of drivers were totally unaware of the need for air conditioning system service and checking and had no idea about the dangers of bacteria and mould in  ventilation systems.

The Good Garage Scheme is encouraging motorists to have their cars checked professionally before setting out on long summer journeys.
