Ring’s popular RIL2500 has been given a makeover with the latest chip-on-board technology added to create an even brighter lamp while retaining all the popular features that have made it such a favourite with mechanics. 

First introduced back in 2005, the RIL2500 was an instant hit and to date over a million units have been sold. The use of the then latest LED technology and the compact size made the lamp lightweight and something mechanics could easily carry with them throughout the day.

LED inspection lamps have gone on to dominate the market as they consume less power, ensuring a long life output from the rechargeable battery with no awkward trailing power leads and safe cool running temperatures.

In the new RIL2500HP, Ring have incorporated the latest COB technology to provide a light output that is three times brighter and providing 300 lumens of light. Understanding that working hands free is important, a magnet has also been introduced on the back of the belt clip and the RIL2500HP now also has a lithium-ion battery for faster and consistent recharging.

A number of the features that made the original product so popular remain. The compact size and being cordless means the lamp fits perfectly in a pocket and toolbox for easy storage. The lamp is totally rechargeable and cordless for convenience and is supplied is with a mains charger for charging in the workshop and a DC charger for charging within a vehicle.

The lamp has also been designed to withstand the tough working conditions found in a workshop, with a polycarbonate lens which is virtually unbreakable and has been independently tested to have an impact rating of IK07.
