Ring Automotive has made a number of additions to its range of workshop lamps.

The RIHL2000 is Ring’s first mechanics head torch and is designed to provide the best light for hands free operation. It features a 3w Cree LED, providing 320 lumens of light output. It also has a 50o rotating head, so the light can be directed to the precise area required. The unit is made from tough robust aluminium and is fitted with an adjustable padded head strap for added comfort. 4 x AAA batteries are included, providing 8 hours of continuous operating time. The lamp is also waterproof, making it ideal for outdoor use.

To help solve the problem of mislaid inspection lamps, Ring has given two of its bestselling lamps a hi-vis make over. The RIL2550 and RIL2900 now come in a fluorescent orange casing, so that they can easily be spotted in dark areas.

The RIL2550HV has 15 super bright LEDs to provide 650 lux of light for 5 hours continuous use. The NiMH battery will recharge within 4 hours. It has a hook/stand for multi positional use, allowing the light to be positioned exactly where required. Magnets on the base of the stand allow for hands free working.

The RIL2900HV has 21 super bright LEDs, providing 900 lux of light output for 4 hours of continuous use, with a 4 hours recharge. The unit is impact resistant and weatherproof.

Ring has also launched the RIL4000 an ultra-bright, magnetic and flexible LED inspection lamp. It is different to other lamps in its use of Strip LED technology, that produces a light output that is 4 x brighter than with 21 standard LEDs.

The Strip LEDs are also designed to cast a wider light output and together with a specially designed optical lens, produces total and uniform illumination over a wide area, such as an engine bay or wheel arch. The RIL4000 also has a built-in high-power spot light for quick spot checks. It features a strong magnet at the base and has two integral hooks on the back and a base pivot mechanism for hands free working.

Bhavesh Mistry, Product Manager for Ring Automotive says “The RIL4000 is way ahead of standard LED inspection lamps. The Strip LED technology provides a brighter and wider illumination that mechanics will really appreciate. No longer will they have to continually readjust the position of the lamp to direct light.”
