Visitors to the Gates stand at Automechanika were taken on an interactive journey through new possibilities and opportunities to boost workshop business.

The first aspect of the tour was to highlights Gates extensive OE partnerships and how it has taken a lead role in belts-in-oil, stop-start technology and belt-driven starter-generators, working closely with car makers to reduce emissions and upgrade and improve drive systems already fitted to vehicles in production. This has a direct impact on the aftermarket and means Gates is often takes the lead role in new aftermarket developments.

The second aspect of the tour showed the strength of the Gates range and how it offers, first class coverage, a new opportunity in truck maintenance with new CoolRunner belts, and opportunities emerging in the replacement hose markets following the Gates acquisition of Rapro.

Next visitors were given access to the GarageZone which demonstrated how mechanics could soon be building technical knowledge, fitting with greater confidence and helping their garages to stay ahead. This showed the vast armoury of Gates technical information and training, including new digital platforms.

Completing the tour visitors were shown how Gates is pushing the boundaries in a diverse range of applications across a wide variety technologies and markets.
