Unlike many other belt suppliers that supply generic replacement products, Dayco’s philosophy is to manufacture only vehicle specific belts, which therefore provide independent technicians with an OE quality solution that is designed to the precise specification. 

The quality extends to both the internal structure and external properties. For example the fabric on the back surface of the Poly-V belt for the PRINCE BMW PSA engine used in models such as Mini, BMW 1-3 series, Citroën C3-C4, PSA 208-3008. 

Because belts on the latest applications can drive as many as 10 components, Dayco utilises EPDM belts, which are far more flexible and durable than the previous generation neoprene rubber based belt. 

Dayco’s Poly-V range consists of seven types:
Poly-V belt with a white nylon layer on the ribs offer an OE solution that is used by Stellantis and Ford and provides excellent resistance to wear and aging. This high performance belt, specifically designed for applications such as the 1.2-litre start/stop engine used in several PSA vehicles. 
Poly-V belt for heavy use conditions, in addition to heavy-duty applications, are increasingly used for hybrid vehicles with recuperating energy functions, such as the Dayco belt-start generator (BSG) 48 V, a stop/start hybrid engine system designed to enable torque to be transmitted in different directions. This Poly-V belt, which incorporates an aramid cord, is particularly durable and designed to operate in extreme temperatures. 
Poly-V stretch belt offer an OE solution designed for applications without a tensioner that has a slightly elasticated nylon cord, rather than polyester, to provide a belt with excellent noise, vibration and harshness characteristics to drive additional components such as air conditioning compressors. .
Standard Poly-V is a solution suitable for medium age vehicles, which do not incorporate the latest drive systems or hybrid technology but is still of OE quality and provides exceptional resistance to wear and aging, as well as excellent NVH performance.
Severe NVH Poly-V is an OE solution for applications requiring extreme NVH resistance, in addition to excellent wear and aging properties.
Fabric back and textured back Poly-V – both are customer specific solutions for limited applications, but which still provide high wear and aging resistance combined with robust NVH performance.
