Preparations for Automechanika Birmingham, the UK’s leading exhibition for the automotive industry, are well underway with the announcement of an exhibitor day and the appointment of a new PR agency to further boost the event profile.

Automechanika Birmingham will be hosting an Exhibitor Day on 1 March at Birmingham NEC, with the primary aim being to ensure exhibiting companies get the most out of the event and contribute to delivering a truly memorable visitor experience. In addition to offering fantastic networking opportunities with fellow automotive businesses, the event will provide exhibitors with wide ranging advice including presentations on pre-show marketing, attracting visitors to the stand and making best use of the networking facilities available. There will also be a number of event suppliers in attendance offering discounts to exhibitors on furniture packages, stand designs, catering and scanners to capture visitor data.

Automechanika Birmingham has also announced the appointment of specialist PR agency Impression Communications to raise awareness and increase visibility in the run-up to this year’s show.

The Midlands-based PR agency was appointed based on its expertise and experience in the automotive sector, as well as its successful handling of last year’s regional PR campaign for 2017 show. Impression’s role is to oversee the communications strategy, positioning Automechanika Birmingham as the UK’s industry voice, as it looks to build on the success of the show, now in its third year.

Mark Field, Managing Director, Impression Communications said, “We are relishing the challenge of promoting the Automechanika Birmingham brand to an even wider audience for 2018. Our focus is on increasing its profile and highlighting to all sectors of the aftermarket, including garage and motor factor businesses, the benefits they will reap from coming along to this year’s show.”

Automechanika Birmingham returns to the NEC, Birmingham on 5-7 June 2018. As the largest automotive trade event in the UK, in 2017 the three-day show brought together more than 800 quality exhibitors and 12,000 key decision makers. The event attracts many visitors from Ireland as its location makes access and travel easy.
