Team P R Reilly have launched a new primer specifically for use on E-coats, which it says can save up to 75 minutes when compared with traditional priming processes.

The new DeBeer Refinish 8-746 High Production Non Sanding Primer is said to maintain a high quality result, yet allows a much higher volume of work within a short time frame. This makes the product particularly suitable for use on OEM and aftermarket panels.

The primer helps to achieve shorter turnaround times and higher production volumes by allowing the user to skip several steps. The primer eliminates the need for drying and sanding, as layers can be applied wet-on- wet. The High Production Non Sanding Primer can also be used as part of the traditional process.

The DeBeer Refinish 8-746 High Production Non-Sanding Primer is a wet-on-wet primer system, designed to give unsanded E-coat layers the ultimate finish. The finish rivals the results of treatments where the primer layer has to dry before sanding and before it is possible to apply the next layer.
