Motorservice has added four new water pump modules from Pierburg to its product range. With six Pierburg products, Motorservice now covers all water pumps for the 1.6-l and 2.0-l petrol turbocharged engines (M270 and M274) from Mercedes-Benz.

The water pumps operate as and when needed, thus helping to save fuel and comply with applicable exhaust emission standards.

During the warm-up phase, the water pump module is switched off by a vacuum valve. This enables the engine to be heated more quickly and fuel-saving systems can be activated promptly, for example the start-stop system. In addition, the water pump module is switched on by the heating and air conditioning system if required, so that the interior of the vehicle is heated up more quickly, among other things.

The Motorservice Group is the sales organisation for Rheinmetall's worldwide aftermarket activities. It is a leading supplier of engine components, with its premium brands Kolbenschmidt, Pierburg, TRW Engine Components as well as the brands BF and turbo by Intec.

The new modules are are now available from Pierburg stockists.
