The TRICO-sponsored Porsche Cayman made an instant impact at Donington Park in the Porsche Sprint Challenge, with driver Sarah Moore, securing 6th and 7th place results at the two-race meeting.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge is contested by identical, 425 hp 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport cars, so with equal performance, it’s the skill and abilities of the drivers that makes the difference, rather than the development of the machinery. The new series, introduced under the auspices of Porsche GB is designed to be a stepping stone to the long-established Porsche Carrera Cup GB and ultimately, to the Porsche Supercup, which supports the Formula 1 World Championship around the globe.

On track, the TRICO Porsche, in its recognisable red and white livery was straight on the pace with the former Britcar Endurance Champion and W Series driver performing well.

TRICO’s Senior Marketing Manager, Sam Robinson, said, “This was Sarah’s first two races in the Porsche and she’s done really well to finish 6th and 7th. I’m confident that as she gains experience, she’ll continue to improve and I’m keen to watch her progress over the next two rounds at Croft and Silverstone. Sarah’s a fantastic driver and TRICO is proud to sponsor her, so it’s great to see her on circuit driving the TRICO-branded car.”

Sarah Moore, said, “I never thought I’d be back racing in 2020 given what’s going on in the world right now with Covid-19, so I can’t thank everyone involved enough for the opportunity to race in such a fantastic championship and vital support from TRICO.”

The next round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Great Britain will see the teams going to the Croft Circuit on the 10th and 11th October. The final races will take place at Silverstone on the 7th and 8th November.
