Ignition specialist NGK gave customers the drive of their lives when they took part in a special rally day hosted by the Cumbria-based M-Sport. NGK is a partner of the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team whose EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC cars are fitted with NGK spark plugs and NTK Lambda sensors.

A group of 20 lucky NGK motor factor and garage customers were driven through a forest stage in a Ford Fiesta R5 rally car by star driver Matthew Wilson, the son of Team Principal Malcolm Wilson. The group were also treated to the thrilling ride on the company’s testing ground in Greystoke Forest before having a tour of the team’s headquarters at Dovenby Hall.

Paul Wheatley, of NGK said, “The group was made up of motor factors and independent garages and they enjoyed a fantastic day at M-Sport. All the guests had the opportunity of being driven through Greystoke Forest by Matthew Wilson which they thought was amazing before having a tour of the M-Sport headquarters. It was a memorable day and I would like to thank M-Sport for ensuring it was one that our guests will always remember.”

M-Sport’s five-time World Champion Sébastien Ogier is currently in second place in this year’s WRC drivers’ championship with the team in third position in the manufacturers’ standings.
