An outstanding start to Motorsport Ireland Young Racing Driver of the Year Alex Dunne's Italian F4 Championship campaign saw the Offaly teenager leave Imola as the Championship leader. 

A tricky qualifying session meant Dunne started none of the three races higher than sixth on the grid, yet he managed to take a trio of podiums with P2 in race 1, P1 in race 2 and P3 in race 3, to leave the iconic Italian venue with an 11 point lead in the series.
 

Dunne also holds a 37 point lead in the British F4 Championship after a stunning performance at the opening round at Donington Park and he heads to round 2 at Brands Hatch this weekend full confidence following his Italian exploits.
