NGK Ambassador Charlie Martin made an impressive start to the 2022 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America championship by claiming a podium finish at her first meeting.

Charlie made her debut in the series at Laguna Seca alongside her co-driver Jason Keats, taking charge of the #54 Dream Racing Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO 2.

Qualifying third in the Lamborghini Cup class for the first race, she was unfortunately forced to retire due to an ABS issue despite showing promising pace and claiming the fastest lap of the race in class. Undeterred and starting from fourth in class in Sunday's race, the pair were determined to push for the podium places and a strong performance saw them claim third place in class.

NGK Spark Plugs, a leading supplier of original equipment spark plugs, glow plugs and NTK Lambda sensors, is a long-term supporter of transgender driver Charlie.

Mark Hallam, Marketing Manager, NGK Spark Plugs, said, “It was a fantastic start to the season by Charlie with her performance being covered by BBC Sport which shows her growing reputation in motorsport. I’m sure that even better results will follow over the course of what will be a very exciting series.”
