Bosch has highlighted the importance of regular filter changes to protect both the engine and vehicle occupants.

If vehicle filters are not replaced at the appropriate time the consequences can be inconvenient, costly and unpleasant. Fuel, oil, air and cabin filters protect the engine, the injection system and the occupants. They need to be changed at set intervals and replaced with high-quality filters such as those from Bosch. These are made from high quality materials, carefully crafted and are subject to strict product controls according to the same standards as original equipment parts.

Fuel filters are vital for protection of the injection system. They reliably seperate particles and water from fuel and contribute to optimum engine performance. In case the fuel filter gets clogged, the fuel supply can be affected negatively thus causing a loss of power up to engine standstill. The fuel pump can also be overstressed by excessive strains which can cause short circuits.

Oil filters remove soot and metal particles from engine oil. Poor engine lubrication caused by a clogged oil filter will lead to premature engine wear as well as reduced engine performance and increased oil consumption.

Air filters clean the intake air used for the combustion to protect engine components downstream against dirt and damage. A clogged air filter can cause increased fuel consumption and pollutant emissions. It can even cause a loss of engine power.

Cabin filters ensure clean and pleasant air inside the vehicle. In addition to their anti-allergic and antibacterial effects, Bosch FILTER+pro also effectively retain viruses and work against mould growth. If the filter is clogged, the windscreen can fog up more quickly and visibility might worsen. Increased levels of pollutants or pollen can lead to difficulty concentrating or allergic reactions. In addition, deposits can form on the air conditioning system and reduce its functionality. Bosch thus recommends replacing cabin filters once a year or every 15,000 km.

All Bosch filters are of high quality and are designed to keep undesired substances away from the engine and the vehicle occupants.

Bosch filters are available from stockists nationwide.
