When buying a car, most people like to give the vehicle a good look over before parting with their hard earned cash. Trade car dealers are no different, but time is money, so taking half a day out to go check on some trade cars is a costly business. PJ McKenna’s new video link, provides traders with all the details of a car for sale through its new Trade Tender service.
From the comfort of their own desks, traders can watch a video clip of the car they are interested in buying. One sample video that Autobiz viewed, showed PJ walking around the car and pointing out any imperfections on the vehicle, exactly what a critical trade buyer would do. PJ gives an honest description of the car so a trade buyer knows exactly what they are bidding on.
PJ says, “It's something I had thought of some time ago and hadn't followed up on. It was only when we started the Trade Tender that I realised it would be ideal, as our guys in the yard were describing the same vehicles over and over again, to different buyers around the country. We're hoping to improve and develop the concept, as there has been a favourable response to my first crude attempts. What’s interesting is that we're using a high definition video camera, which picks up any small imperfections on the car. Similar to our OnLine Underwriting (OLU) system, there’s no room for you said this and I said that, it's all recorded. So I have to get my descriptions right.”
