The World’s longest pub crawl

Ben Coombs a vintage TVR driver from the UK has just completed what is thought to be the world’s longest pub crawl.

Ben came up with the idea, appropriately in a pub. It involved driving 25,000 miles in his 21 year-old TVR Chimaera. The plan was to go from the northernmost bar in the world, to one at the southern tip of Chile. Amazingly his car’s Rover V8 engine completed the gruelling journey trouble free.

The journey started just 700 miles from the North Pole in a hotel bar in Pyramiden, Norway. He then drove through Scandinavia and across Europe to the UK. He then shipped the car to the US and drove East to West to California before heading south through central and South America.

Coombes has previously crossed Asia and Africa in vintage sports cars.
