Fergus Drennan from Canterbury is a broadcaster, writer and educator on the delights of food foraged from the wild. He has come up with a novel diet that he intends to follow for a full year. Drennan plans to make animals that meet an unfortunate end at the hands of fast moving cars a key element in the diet, which will not allow him to buy any food or ingredients. Instead he plans to live off what he can find, foraging in a ten-mile radius of his home and scraping up the remains of dead squirrels, foxes, badgers and rabbits from the roads. He also plans to use the animal’s skins for clothing.
