BMW is to launch a range of tii performance options, on its smaller models, in a move that will rule out the possibility of an M1 version of the 1 Series being produced.
The new tii 1 Series will be a twin-turbo model, capable of 0-62mph in 5.3seconds. It is expected to take its design ideas form the tii concept shown at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, with a body kit, carbon-fibre details, fatter wheels and tyres, sports seats and instruments. A tii version of the 3 Series is also expected later this year.
